External Features
Some standout features of this home extension include, matching brickwork, custom made round leadlight windows that the client sourced to retain and add character to the home. External windows were matched to the existing window style, including matching glazing. White paintwork was used around the windows and on feature timbers of the exterior of the home to complete the look.
Another interesting feature of this home, are the raked eaves and they give the home a lovely heritage feel. When it comes to the outdoor spaces, we added two (2) new timber decks. The first deck was completed at the entry, for ease of access to the property and another rear deck was added for relaxing.
Wheelchair Friendly Bathroom & Living Spaces
To cater for the clients elderly parents, we had to ensure that the new extension and alterations offered wheelchair friendly access. Disability rails were also included in the bathroom to meet future needs.
The client was careful to select bathroom fittings and fixtures that are in keeping with the heritage style of the home and the aqua colour wall tile looks great with the feature leadlight window colours.
